Congratulations to the JV and Varsity Girls Volleyball teams, as they both were able to add to the win column last night in their match against Chartiers Valley!

The JV match went the full 3 games last night and the girls ended up victorious. They lost the first set with a score of 16-25, but were able to come back and tie the match with a 25-14 win in set 2.  This led to the deciding 3rd set, and the the JV came out on top with a 15-12 win.  

The Varsity took a while to get going as both teams served very tough, which led to a lot of receiving issues.  But the girls stayed the course and came back from deficits of 16-21, 22-23, and 23-24, to tie the game at 24 and eventually win the first set 26-24!  The second set was the same but in reverse as the Chargers had a 24-16 lead, but Chartiers Valley came back to make it 24-22 before the Chargers finished the game at 25-22.  The last set saw Chartiers Valley take an early lead, but as usual the Chargers fought back to make it an even game - and that's the way it stayed all the way until the end, as the girls finished the match with a 25-20 score and the sweep.  Coach MAC and the team want to thank the student body as they showed their usual strong support for the team and kept the energy up the whole match.  Apparently, the theme was COACH MAC Night, as most of the students showed up in a T-shirt, long shorts, and of course a lanyard hanging out of one of the shorts pockets! The team loved having their fellow classmates at the game to support them!
