The girls volleyball team welcomed #4 ranked Avonworth to the AAC last night and the girls made it a very interesting evening! 

The JV unfortunately lost their match to the "Lopes" by the scores of 25-20, and 25-22. 

The Varsity match was a very hard-played, entertaining match where both teams battled to end of every set! 
The Chargers opened the match by taking the first set and putting Avonworth on their heels with a score of 25-18.  Avonworth fought back in the second set and ended up tying the match at 1 set apiece with a 25-20 result.  The Chargers would not go away, however, as they fought hard and took set 3 with a score of 25-21.  Set 4 saw multiple lead changes all the way to the end with Avonworth just barely winning with a 25-23 score.  This set up the deciding 5th set.  Both teams battled to the end but unfortunately, Avonworth came out on top with a final set score of 15-11. 

Coach Mac wants to recognize the efforts and fight of the team as they made a very competitive showing against one of the top teams in Class 2A.  Well done girls!
