Boys Soccer played a marathon game in the WPIAL Championship at Highmark Stadium against #1 seed and last year's WPIAL champion Bentworth. The entire regulation period remained scoreless. The match extended to two overtime periods, both of which remained scoreless. The Charger defense and keeper
Patrick Altmar were ironclad as they defended their goal, forcing the move to penalty kicks to decide the match. The game remained tied after the first five kicks from each team. In the second round of penalty kicks, it's sudden death, so each kick counts. Bentworth was able to score with their 7th kicker and was able to stop the OLSH attempt. This is the second time OLSH Boys Soccer is WPIAL Runner Up, last earning the honor in 2011.
The team will rest up to prepare for the first round of PIAA playoffs which begin Tuesday.
