OLSH 56 – South Allegheny 8

The #3-seeded Chargers took on the #14-seeded Gladiators in a WPIAL first-round playoff game at Moon High School.

OLSH forged ahead of SA in the first quarter, taking a commanding 23-2 lead. Claudia Ierullo poured in 7 points, while Leah Parker and Shae Trombetta added 4 points each. Sara Daeschner hit a trey, and Cam Hummel and Lola Parker each had a basket.

The second-quarter scoring was led by Claudia Ierullo with 5 points, while Emily Scheller-Gallagher, Camryn Hummel, and Lola Garner each contributed 3 points. The Chargers led 37-2 at halftime.

With the clock running and the defense pulled back, OLSH outscored SA 10-0 in the third quarter. Lola Garner, Claudia Ierullo, and Shae Trombetta all scored from behind the arc. The Chargers were on top 47-5 heading into the final quarter.

In the fourth quarter, the Chargers outscored the Gladiators 9-3. Rowan Winter had 4 points, Vivienne Goshen hit a three-pointer, and Annabeth Grayson chipped in a deuce to round out the scoring.

The Chargers improve to 20-3 overall and 14-0 in section play. They will face Avonworth in the WPIAL quarterfinals Wednesday, February 19th.
