The OLSH golf team continued its strong season with a solid team win over Avella on Thursday, posting a score of 208 to Avella's 216. With this victory, the Chargers improved to 6–1 in Section 4-AA play, demonstrating both depth and consistency across the lineup.
Leading the way was senior Jonah Scholleart, who delivered an outstanding performance by shooting a 30 on the front nine—six under par on the par-36 course. His round included four birdies and an eagle on the par-4 second hole, earning him medalist honors. Jonah's performance helped mark a new team and individual record for the best 9-hole round to date, an incredible accomplishment.
Steady performances from the rest of the Chargers' lineup. Matthew Prince with a 39, while Ryan DiNinno followed with a 45. Hunter Chimenti added a 46, and Nolan Meyer rounded out the scoring with a 48. The team's overall effort and balanced play were key to securing the win and maintaining momentum as the season progresses.
The Chargers will be back in action on Tuesday, September 3, when they travel to face Keystone Oaks at Mt. Lebanon Golf Course. Tee time is scheduled for 2:30 PM.
