In an intense battle between two undefeated teams in Section 3A play, the OLSH boys' soccer team emerged victorious with a hard-fought 3-2 win over Aquinas Academy at J.C. Stone Field. The game lived up to its hype, with both sides giving it their all, but the Chargers proved to be the stronger team on the day.
The Chargers came out firing in the first half, with early goals from Owen Minzer, Brady Hernandez, and Andre Kolocouris. Their offensive pressure gave them a 3-1 lead heading into halftime, putting them in a strong position to secure the win.
However, Aquinas Academy wasn't going down without a fight. The second half saw a determined push from the visitors, who pulled one back to make it 3-2. But the Chargers' defense held firm, shutting down Aquinas' attempts to equalize and ultimately preserving their lead.
With this win, the Chargers extend their perfect season record to 7-0 overall and 5-0 in section play, keeping them at the top of the standings.
Looking ahead, the Chargers are set to face Beth Center on Tuesday, where they'll aim to continue their unbeaten streak and keep their pursuit of a perfect season alive.
