The OLSH boys soccer team continued its impressive postseason run with a 2–1 victory over defending state champion Lancaster Mennonite on Saturday afternoon.
From the opening whistle, the Chargers controlled the tempo, dictating possession and creating several dangerous chances in the attacking third. Despite their composure and sustained pressure, OLSH found itself trailing 1–0 midway through the first half and entered the break still searching for an equalizer.
The Chargers' response in the second half reflected the discipline and resilience that have defined their season. Building through the midfield and maintaining steady offensive pressure, OLSH found its breakthrough early in the half when Brady Hernandez buried the equalizer to make it 1–1.
With momentum firmly on their side, the Chargers continued to press forward. Later in the half, Aaron Callahan capitalized on another attacking sequence, scoring the go-ahead goal that would ultimately stand as the game-winner.
Anchored by a composed defensive unit and strong organization in the closing minutes, OLSH held off Lancaster Mennonite's final pushes to secure the victory and a spot in the PIAA Class 1A State Semifinals.
