The OLSH Track & Field team wrapped up a strong season with an impressive showing at the WPIAL Championships on Wednesday, May 14th. Several athletes delivered standout performances and brought home medals, including a new school record in the discus event.
Trey Moses had a remarkable day in the field, placing 8th in discus with a throw of 140-07, setting a new OLSH school record. He also earned a 7th place medal in the javelin event, capping off an impressive WPIAL performance.
The Girls 4x800 relay team of Gianna Mosca, Charlotte Gauntner, Lindsay Bressler, and Mira Mosca kicked off the day by earning a 7th place medal. Gianna Mosca returned to the track later in the meet to earn an individual 8th place medal in the 3200m.
In other results, Hannah Hayes placed 13th overall in the 300m hurdles, and the Girls 4x400 relay team of Ashlyn Johnson, Lindsay Bressler, Hannah Hayes, and Eva Crofford closed out the meet with a 14th place finish.
