The team delivered a strong performance at the Slippery Rock University Invitational, highlighted by numerous personal records and a total of five medal-winning performances.
Boys Team Highlights:
Trey Moses led the way in the field events, earning two medals with a 7th-place finish in discus and an 8th-place finish in javelin. On the track, Brayden Douglass and Leo Mosca each set personal records in the 400m and 800m. Sidney McLaughlin also turned in an impressive performance, achieving PRs in both the 300m hurdles and the 200m.
Girls Team Highlights:
Katelyn Miller posted a strong performance in the 2000m steeplechase, earning a 5th-place finish while setting a new personal record. The girls 4x800 relay team of Hannah Hayes, Eva Crofford, Charlotte Gauntner, and Mira Mosca also reached the podium with a 6th-place finish. Mira Mosca added another medal to the team's total with an 8th-place finish in the 3200m.
Several other athletes contributed to the team's success with personal-best performances. Abigail Mackin recorded a PR in the 100m hurdles, while Vivienne Goshen set new marks in both the 100m and 200m. Anntonella Sueiras also PR'd in the 100m. In the distance events, Macie Trombetta achieved PRs in both the 1600m and 800m, and Selena Mackin rounded out the day with a PR in the 400m.
With multiple PRs and five total medals, the meet reflected the team's continued growth and determination as they head deeper into the season.
