Ambridge visited the AAC last night and departed with their first section defeat of the season, as the Chargers played inspired, aggressive volleyball to take a section win from the Bridgers. The junior varsity began the evening with an inspiring 2-0 match win to avenge an earlier loss to the Bridgers at Ambridge. The individual scores were 25-17 and 25-15.
The varsity picked up where the jv left off, as they played inspired in front of the home crowd and took set one by the score of 25-18. Set two saw Ambridge play much better and tie up the match at one set apiece as they won set two by the score of 25-19. The Chargers made sure they showed Ambridge that they were not going to go away, as they fought hard to take set three with a score of 25-19, and go up 2 sets to 1 in the match. Set four saw the Chargers roar out to an 8-3 lead, but after an Ambridge time out, the Bridgers stormed back to get it to 8-7 before the Chargers again made a run that eventually got to be too much for the Bridgers to overcome and won the set going away with a score of 25-15. This gave the match win to the Chargers and put them in a tie for the section lead with identical 7-1 records.

Mike King: 1 ace and 1 dig, and
Jeremy Ciaramella: 1 ace. The boys are 9-2 overall and will taek on the BCCS Eagles tomorrow night at the AAC. Hope to see you there.
