The OLSH athletic department was well represented yesterday as 3 teams did their best to advance to the next round of the playoffs: 

The baseball team lost a well played, down to the wire event, as they lost to the #1 ranked team in the state by one run.  Eden Christian advanced to the finals with a 6-5 victory over the Chargers. But, the Chargers will have an opportunity to qualify for the State tournament, when they play Rochester next week, with the winner advancing to play additional days!

The OLSH softball team got a late start to their game as the game before them went extra time, but in the end, the Chargers left no doubt, as they defeated Bentworth by a score of 12-2, putting them into the semifinals on Wednesday!

And finally, the Boys Volleyball team secured their place in Wednesday's WPIAL finals, as they defeated Ambridge last night at Moon.  The boys won 3 sets to 0, to move on to the finals to be held at Robert Morris University on Wednesday at 6 pm.  Their opponent will be the Montour Spartans.
