The Lady Chargers saw mixed results in their match against Quaker Valley last night.

The JV squad won their match, 2 sets to 0.  The set scores were 25-17 and 25-6. 

Varsity started off the night with a dogfight in set 1, with both teams making plays to try to assert themselves.  The Chargers had an early lead, but Quaker Valley began to chip away and got all the way back to tie the set at 23 all, and even took a 24-23 lead. But the Chargers tied it up at 24 and took the lead at 25-24, before QV tied it up at 25, and the Chargers finally took the set with a score of 27-25. 

Quaker Valley then settled in and began to play the way a #3 WPIAL-ranked team should play, hitting hard balls that the Chargers were not able to handle.  The remaining 3 sets went Quaker Valley's way, with scores of 25-18, 25-17, 25-18. 

The girls look to rebound tomorrow as they welcome #4 ranked Avonworth to the AAC.  JV plays at 6 and Varsity will begin around 7.  Come on out and support our girls!
