Congratulations to the JV and Varsity Girls Volleyball teams as they increased their win total last night after defeating the New Brighton Lions. 

The JV won in 2 straight sets with scores of 25-22 and 25-17.  

The Varsity had to stage an epic comeback in set one, trailing 12-4, 18-10, and 22-18 before coming all the way back and taking set 1 with a score of 26-24. The Chargers piled onto that win with a 25-6 effort in set 2 and were looking for the sweep of the Lions.  But the Lions showed some fight themselves as they hung in the 3rd set and eventually took it with a score of 25-23. In set 4, New Brighton fought valiantly, but in the end it was the Chargers with the overall win with a set 4 score of 25-16 and a 3-1 match victory.  

Next up, the JV squad will compete in the Avonworth Tournament on Saturday, September 23rd.
