Congratulations to both the JV and Varsity volleyball squads as they both won their matches vs the Hopewell Vikings at the AAC last night! 

The JV started off slowly, dropping set one by an 18-25 score, but rebounded nicely as they took the next 2 sets with scores of 25-20 and 15-10 in the deciding set to win the match.

The Varsity got rolling early as they dominated the Vikings in the first 2 sets, posting identical 25-15 scores in each.  But Hopewell would not go away as they rallied and took a large lead in set 3.  With the Vikings leading 23-18, the Chargers mounted a furious comeback to tie the score at 24, and the game went point for point as both teams tried to finish it out.  But in the end, the Vikings prevailed with a score of 27-25, preventing the sweep by the Chargers.  The boys got back on track in set 4, as they held the lead for most of the set and finished with a 25-20 final score to seal the match with 3 sets to 1. 

The boys will travel to Bishop Canevin on Thursday to take on the Crusaders in a varsity only match that will begin at 6:30 pm.
