Congratulations to the JV and Varsity girls volleyball squads as they both came home with victories last night from their section match at New Brighton!  

The JV girls won their first set 25-21, but the Lions came back in set two to tie the match with a 25-16 victory of their own. In the 3rd and deciding set, the Chargers got out to an early lead and kept that lead throughout as they finished off the Lions with a final score of 15-12

The Varsity squad got off to a sluggish start, with New Brighton benefiting from a few self inflicted mistakes by the Chargers, but a key serving run by the Chargers took over the match and put the Lions on their heels, as the Chargers ended up winning the first set by a 25-16 score.  Once that set was done, it was all Chargers going forward as they began to look like their old selves in set two, totally dominating the Lions in the set with a 25-10 result.  Set 3 saw more of the same as the Chargers used everyone on the team in the match and registered a set 3 score of 25-16 to close out the match.
