Three members of the OLSH Boys Bowling team represented the school in last night's WPIBL Singles Championship. All three battled the challenging Gateway Arch Pattern and completed their series with respectable results with over 130 bowlers competing at AMF Mt. Lebanon.
Team Captain and Senior
Tom Gayliardi bowled a high game of 201 to go along with a 531 series, good enough for 58th place in a difficult field among the best bowlers in Western Pennsylvania.
Sophomore Issac Tarbuk placed 86th, improving with every game he bowled, finishing with a game high of 178 on his way to a 500 series. Junior
Jonah Schollaert placed 112th with a 469 series and a high game of 181.
It was announced prior to the Championship that
Tom Gayliardi automatically qualified for the Western PA Regional Singles Championship at AMF Noble Manor scheduled for Friday, February 28th. Tom qualified due to finishing 2nd in the West Section with a 195.22 average.
Last week, The OLSH Boys Team qualified for Regionals due to winning the West Section. That is scheduled for Sunday, March 2nd.
