The OLSH Baseball team swept their double header yesterday with Carlynton at Youthtowne. The Chargers won game one by a score of 7-0.
Iseia Fields-Schulz earned the win on the mound throwing a complete game shutout, striking out 13.
Chad Minton tripled and
Colby Lane and
Sean Hudac each added a double.
Thomas Medwig also had two hits in the effort.
The Chargers took Game 2 by a score of 5-1. OLSH broke open a 1-1 tie in the 6th with four runs. The rally was started by
Dean Douglass who led off with a double.
Chad Minton then drove him in with the game winning single.
Anthony Hansen had a bunt single, followed by hits by
Bruno Williams and
Colby Lane.
Ryan DeNinno also singled in the inning.
Sean Hudac got the win, throwing 6 innings giving up 3 hits and striking out 10.
Nick Rippole closed the game out in the 7th.
The wins move the Chargers to 2-0 in section play and will take on Brentwood next Monday at Youthtowne at 5:30pm.
