The Chargers picked up two home wins this week with strong performances on both sides of the ball.
On Tuesday, OLSH rolled to a 10-0 win over Springdale. Colby Lane led the offense with two hits and four RBIs, while the Chargers totaled 14 hits as a team. James Hanna collected three hits, and Colby Lane, Angelo Ursida, and Dean Douglass each added two. Bruno Williams, Chad Minton, and Wyatt Walsh chipped in with a hit and an RBI apiece. On the mound, Ryan DeNinno was dominant, allowing just three hits while striking out 11 and walking one in the six-inning shutout.
The Chargers followed that up with a 4-3 win over Union on Thursday night. OLSH struck first in the bottom of the first inning when DeNinno scored on an RBI from Chad Minton. Union tied the game in the third and took a 3-1 lead in the fifth. Trailing 3-1 in the bottom of the seventh, DeNinno delivered again, hitting a two-out, two-run single to lift the Chargers to victory. Dean Douglass earned the win in the circle for OLSH.
