Both the JV and Varsity girls volleyball teams had strong showings last night, each sweeping the Lions in straight sets. The JV team came out strong with set wins of 25-18 and 25-12, while Varsity followed up with a solid performance of their own, winning 25-17, 25-20, 25-15.
Several players contributed to the team's success. Sophia Wasko led the way defensively with 12 digs and added 6 service aces. Leah Parker had a strong night at the net with 10 kills and 4 aces, while Julia Davoli chipped in with 4 kills, an ace, and 3 digs. Jordyn Velmire and Carmella Rippole combined for 112 assists, and Izabella Coladonato added 4 aces from the service line.
With the win, the Varsity squad remains undefeated in section play with a 5-0 record, and improves to 6-1 overall.  The team will travel to Quaker Valley tomorrow night for another important match-up. Good luck, Chargers!
