The boys volleyball team opened section play last night, hosting the Montour Spartans at home in the AAC.
The JV match was a tightly contested battle from start to finish. The teams traded points throughout the first set, but the Chargers eventually snuck out the victory with a 25–20 win. The second set was just as close, but the boys came up just short, falling 26–24. This set up the final deciding set, and it was more of the same as both teams traded points until the very end. Unfortunately, the boys were narrowly defeated, 19–17.
The varsity match closely mirrored the JV contest, with both teams keeping things competitive throughout. In the end, the Chargers came out on top, winning in four sets. The set scores were 25–23, 16–26, 25–23, and 25–20.
