The volleyball team welcomed Trinity to the friendly confines of the AAC last night. The JV squad started things off with a bang, defeating the Hillers in straight sets, 2–0. The set scores were 25–23 and 27–25.

The varsity match took a difficult turn early, as Patrick Altmar suffered an ankle injury and was sidelined for the remainder of the night. The Chargers fought hard but came up just short in the first set, 23–25. Showing resilience, the team adjusted to a new lineup and responded with energy, winning the second set 25–21 to even the match at one set apiece.

A golden opportunity slipped away in the third set, as the Hillers mounted a late comeback to claim it 25–21 and take a 2–1 lead in the match. Trinity carried that momentum into the fourth set, jumping out early. The Chargers were unable to close the gap, and Trinity secured the set 25–17 to win the match.

With the loss, the Chargers fall to third place in the section, behind South Fayette and Trinity. The team will look to bounce back quickly with a match at Mars today.
