The Chargers visited the Ambridge Bridgers for a section match and came away with a close loss in JV, but managed to bring home a very close 3 sets to 1 win on the varsity side!Â
The Chargers opened strong, taking a commanding 2–0 lead with set wins of 25–19 and 25–17. However, Ambridge responded in the third set, edging out a 25–23 win and building momentum.
Set four proved to be a tense battle, marked by unforced errors on both sides. The Chargers held a 23–20 advantage, but the Bridgers rallied to tie the set at 23–23. Staying composed, the Chargers closed out the final two points to seal the match.
With the win, OLSH improves to 2–0 in section play, adding this victory to an earlier win over Montour. The Chargers return home next week to host the Hopewell Vikings at the AAC for a section tilt on Tuesday.Â
