OLSH students participate in a cooperative swim program with Cornell each school year. New this year, Eden Christian Academy is joining the co-op. 
See below for a letter from Coach Kevin Robertson:

Hello!
For those interested in joining our swim team, pre-season voluntary *conditioning work-outs will begin on Monday, August 28, 2023. The practice schedule will be Monday, Wednesday and Thursdays 3:00 – 4:30. Practices will continue through September. It will then continue, starting in October, Monday through Thursday. The first official day of practice will be on Friday, November 17, 2023, at which time the team will practice 3:00 – 5:15 on Monday through Friday. Saturday morning practices may also be offered throughout the season.

Swimmers must turn in a completed sports physical prior to the start of the official season (no later than Friday, October 6, 2023) to be able to set a roster and order team suits. Swimmers will not be to attend meets or practice after 17 November if they have not turned in a completed Sports Physical.

There will be a bus after school which will transport OLSH students to Cornell.

Once the season officially starts, swimmers are required to attend practice every day (however, school attendance policies still apply). If you have to miss practice or meets, you will need to discuss it with me. I will need to know 3 weeks prior to any Invitational or Championship, if you will be unable to attend. The entries for those meets must be sent in a couple weeks early and may not be changed once submitted. For all club swimmers, please coordinate with me your practice schedules.

We will swim over the holiday breaks. The holiday work-outs will be in the morning, at a time to be determined. It is highly recommended to attend as many of the preseason Open Swim sessions as you can, where there will be a heavy concentration on technique and conditioning.

I welcome all who want to participate. On this team, you must earn your spot in a meet. This is our first season to include Eden in the cooperative. We welcome you.

*In order to get to conditioning, on days that Cornell is IN SESSION, OLSH students may ride the Cornell van to the pool, which picks up in FRONT of OLSH after school (Student Transportation of America Mini Bus #269).  Transportation from the pool to home is on your own.
