The team turned in an impressive showing at the West Allegheny Christmas Invitational on Saturday, highlighted by multiple qualifying times, personal bests, and strong relay performances.
Mira Mosca set the tone early, leading off the 400 Freestyle Relay with a MAC-qualifying split of 1:06.10 in the 100 Freestyle. Grace Turko followed on the second leg, helping the relay post a WPIAL qualifying time of 4:10.64. Mira Mosca delivered a standout performance overall, earning three MAC qualifying times in the 50, 100, and 200 Freestyles. Grace Turko continued to improve on her MAC times with personal best swims in both the 100 Freestyle and 100 Backstroke, finishing in 1:01.35 and 1:14.14, respectively.
Grace Turko and Mira Mosca also teamed up on the 200 Medley Relay, which narrowly missed a WPIAL qualifying time. The relay touched the wall in 2:04.01, just 1.01 seconds shy of the cut.
Overall, the West Allegheny Christmas Invitational was a successful meet for the team, showcasing continued improvement, depth, and momentum as the season progresses.
