Quaker Valley 49 OLSH 30
OLSH had a tough outing against Quaker Valley, falling 49-30 last night.
The game began with Quaker Valley dominating early. OLSH was held to just 3 points in the first quarter, with
Leah Parker hitting the team's only basket, a 3 pointer. Maryland recruit Mimi Thiero, scored 12 of her game high 38 points in the first quarter, propelling Quaker Valley to a 22-3 lead by the end of the quarter.
The Chargers rebounded in the 2nd frame. They outscored the Quakers 11-7, with
Leah Parker leading the way, scoring 5 points. However, OLSH still trailed by 15 points at the half, with the score at QV 29 - OLSH 14.
Mimi scored the first 2 baskets of the third quarter for Quaker Valley, but the Chargers quickly responded with a 13-8 run, cutting the Quakers' lead to 10 points.
Lola Garner put up 6 points, while
Leah Parker added 5 more. OLSH's defense was holding their own this quarter, but Quaker Valley's lead remained intact at 37-27 heading into the fourth.
