Quaker Valley 41 OLSH 26
In a WPIAL Class3A consolation game to determine the fifth and sixth seeds for the PIAA State Playoffs, #4 seed Quaker Valley topped #6 seed OLSH, 41–26. The Chargers battled throughout but couldn't overcome a slow start offensively.
Quaker Valley edged ahead early, holding a 10–5 lead after the first quarter. OLSH came out cold from the field, with
Rowan Winter knocking down a three-pointer and
Leah Parker scoring from the low post to account for the Chargers' only points in the quarter.
The scoring struggles continued in the second quarter, as the Chargers managed just three points on another three-pointer by
Leah Parker. At halftime, the Chargers trailed 17–8.
Quaker Valley extended its advantage in the third quarter, outscoring OLSH 13–4 to push the lead to 18 points.
Lola Garner added a bucket for the Chargers, and
Sara Daeschner went 2-for-2 from the free-throw line to round out the scoring in the period.
OLSH showed resilience in the fourth quarter, outscoring the Quakers 13–11. Four Chargers found the scoring column, led by
Rowan Winter with five points.
Shae Trombetta added three points,
Macie Trombetta hit a trey and
Leah Parker chipped in 2 points.
The Chargers now stand at 19–7 overall and will enter the PIAA State Playoffs as the WPIAL's #6 seed. OLSH will face the District 6 champion on Friday, March 6.
