The teams played for the 3rd time this season with the winner earning the #3 seed.
Ellwood City scored first and took a 4 to 2 lead but OLSH went on a 12-4 run to gain control of the game.
The run was fueled by great defense and a balance scoring attack. Five players had scoring contributions:

ended it was OLSH on top 14-8.
The Chargers dominated the 2nd quarter with a shut down defense and timely scoring. Five players scored:

OLSH went in at the half leading 31-12.
The Wolverines gain some offensive momentum in the 3rd quarter scoring 12 points but the Chargers countered
with 15 led by
Claudia Ierullo who poured in 6 points and
Libby Gallick,
Leah Parker and
Lola Garner each
hitting baskets from behind the arc. When the buzzer sounded, it was OLSH 46- Ellwood City 24.
Seniors Emily Scheller-Gallaghner and
Claudia Ierullo each had 5 points, Freshman
Rowan Winter added 4 points
and
Lola Garner chipped in a bucket as the Chargers outscored the Wolverines 16-7 in the frame.
OLSH finished the regular season as undefeated Section Champs and 3rd place in WPIAL AAA.
The Chargers are 22-3 overall and will enter the State Playoffs as the #3 seed and will play the #2 seed from District 10
