The boys' and girls' track and field teams participated in the TSTCA Outdoor Championships at West Mifflin High School on Saturday, April 12. The girls' 4x800m relay team, comprised of
Gianna Mosca,
Mira Mosca,
Lindsay Bressler, and
Charlotte Gauntner, medaled with a time of 10:52.93, good for 7th place.
Gianna Mosca also medaled in the 3200m, again finishing 7
th with a time of 11:53.56. On the boys' side,
Trey Moses just missed the podium in the discus, but his throw of 127 feet, 7 inches broke the OLSH school record of 124 feet, 10 inches set in 2007 by Kyle Spaniol '07 in the spring of his senior year.
Boys' and girls' track and field will be back in action on Tuesday, April 15, when they will compete against Western Beaver, BCCS, & Aliquippa in their last section meet of the season at South Side Area High School. The girls are currently 4-0 and are looking to wrap up a section championship, which will earn them a spot in the WPIAL team semifinals. Good luck Chargers!
