OLSH 55 Riverside 35
OLSH earned a convincing 55–35 victory over Riverside to improve to 9–3 overall and 3–2 in section play.
The Chargers set the tone early, racing out to a 20–6 first-quarter lead with contributions across the lineup. Five different players scored in the opening period, led by Rowan Winter with six points. Lola Garner added five, while Leah Parker, Macie Trombetta, and Shae Trombetta chipped in three points each as OLSH built early separation.
Offense slowed in the second quarter, as the Chargers managed just three baskets and were outscored 11–6. Despite the dip, OLSH maintained control and headed into halftime with a 29–20 lead.
OLSH responded well after the break, outscoring Riverside 14–9 in the third quarter. Once again, scoring depth proved key, with five Chargers finding the basket. Leah Parker and Lola Garner each scored four points, pushing the lead to 40–26 by the end of the period.
The Chargers closed the game with authority in the fourth quarter, holding Riverside to just nine points. Shae Trombetta led the scoring with five points, while Leah PArker and Rowan Winter each added four, as OLSH pulled away for a 20-point victory.
A notable moment came as Sara Daeschner, a two-year starter, made her season debut after recovering from an injury. Her return provided a boost on both ends of the floor and added valuable depth down the stretch.
OLSH will look to carry its momentum into its next match-up on Thursday at New Brighton in another important section contest.
