The OLSH Chargers easily did away with Fort Cherry in their Senior Night matchup on Friday, winning 11-1.
The team's 3 graduating seniors -
Kaylee Fabiano,
Cassidy Fabiano, and
Delaney Walsh - were honored in a pregame ceremony. Then, the girls got to work.
The Chargers opened up scoring in the first inning, when
Kaylee Fabiano grounded out but drove in a run. The girls then put up 4 runs in the third inning. Fabiano,
Morgan O'Brien, and
Grace DiGiacomo powered the big inning with RBIs.
Justena Giles pitched the girls to victory, surrendering just one run on three hits in five innings, striking out 6 and walking zero.
#32 took the loss for Fort Cherry. THe pitcher allowed 13 hits and 11 runs over 4 2/3 innings, striking out 5 and walking one.
Juliette Vybiral, Fabiano,
Delaney Walsh, and Giles all collected multiple hits in the Chargers' victory. Vybiral led with 3 hits in 4 at bats.
