The OLSH Chargers had an eventful start to the week, splitting two games.

On Monday, the Chargers traveled to Burgettstown secured a solid 5-2 victory, fueled by a fourth inning that turned the game in their favor. Sydney Trippe led the charge, followed by Lizzie Smith, who singled to bring in a run. Sophia Wasko then grounded into a fielder's choice, pushing across another run, completing a three-run surge that ultimately won them the game. 

OLSH kept the momentum going in the fifth. Lauralei Kroniser drove in a run with a well-timed sacrifice, and Julia Pintar hit an RBI single, giving the Chargers a comfortable 5-0 advantage.

On the mound, Sophia Wasko threw seven innings, giving up eight hits and just two runs while striking out three and issuing no walks. Offensively, the Chargers racked up 10 hits, with Maya Eshenbaugh, Sydney Trippe and Lauralei Kroniser each contributing two hits apiece.

However, the momentum didn't carry into Tuesday's home game against Seton LaSalle. Despite taking an early 4-1 lead, the Chargers saw their advantage slip away. Seton LaSalle took control in the top of the sixth inning and ultimately edged out OLSH 7-6. Sophia Wasko absorbed the loss on the mound, going seven innings and giving up seven runs (five earned) on 12 hits, while striking out six and issuing just one walk. Offensively, Camryn Hummel and Mya Eshenbaugh each collected two hits, and the Chargers showcased their speed with four stolen bases, but it wasn't enough to hold off the Rebels.

Next up, the Chargers will face Sewickley Academy at home on Wednesday.
