Chargers Defeat South Side 5–1

The Chargers softball team earned a 5–1 victory over South Side on Tuesday.

OLSH opened the scoring in the third inning when Leann Walzer delivered an RBI double. The Chargers added to their lead in the fourth, highlighted by Mya Eshenbaugh's two-run single.

Sophia Wasko went the distance in the circle, allowing one run on five hits while striking out six and issuing no walks.

The offense was balanced, with Camryn Hummel, Lauralei Kroniser, Syndey Trippe, Sophia Wasko, Julia Pinter, and Nevaeh Morin each recording a hit as well.

The Chargers will look to build on the win when they host Shady Side Academy on Monday.
