The Chargers opened the season with an impressive 32-10 victory over visiting Shenango. Quarterback Vann Kavals shined in his first start passing for 375 yards and 4 touchdowns and rushing for 52 yards and another touchdown. Dereon Greer was on the receiving end of 3 of Vann's touchdowns and ended up with 8 receptions for 149 yards. Ethan Gardner also found the endzone and finished with 103 receiving yards. 

The Chargers were also strong defensively, led by team captains Brady and Brandon Brazell manning the Linebacker spots. Damarre Brough and Vann Kavals each had multiple sacks.

Up next for the Chargers is rival Rochester on Saturday September 2nd, 7:00 p.m. at Moon Stadium.
