The OLSH Varsity Softball team exploded for 17 runs in the first inning, powering past Carlynton with an 18-1 victory on Tuesday afternoon.

A string of hits, walks, and heads-up baserunning fueled the Chargers' massive opening frame. Key contributions included RBIs from Julia Pinter, Leann Walzer, Camryn Hummel, Ava Ciummo, Olivia DiGiacomo, Mya Eshenbaugh, and Claire Bulls. Walzer, Hummel, and Ciummo each knocked in two runs with timely singles, while Pinter and several teammates showed patience at the plate, drawing multiple walks to keep the inning alive.

The Chargers added to their lead in the second inning, as Claire Bulls ripped a double to push the score to 18-1.

On the mound, Sophia Wasko earned the win, going three innings and allowing just two hits and one unearned run, while striking out four and walking none.

Offensively, Walzer led the team with three RBIs, while several Chargers—Walzer, Hummel, DiGiacomo, Ciummo, Seskey, and Bulls—each recorded a hit. OLSH showcased excellent discipline at the plate, drawing a total of 13 walks. Eshenbaugh, Seskey, Wasko, Velmire, and Pinter each reached base twice on walks.

Carlynton was limited to just two hits, and OLSH's defense remained sharp throughout the short game.
