The Chargers used timely hitting and a big third inning to secure a 5–3 win over Fort Cherry on Tuesday.
OLSH opened the scoring in the second inning on Nevaeh Morin's RBI single, setting the tone early.
Mya Eshenbaugh led the way, going 3-for-4, highlighted by a three-run home run to center field in the third inning to extend the lead. A swing that ultimately proved to be the difference in the game. Sydney Trippe also added an RBI single to contribute to the Charger's offensive effort.
After falling behind by five, Fort Cherry responded with three runs to cut the deficit to 5–3, but OLSH held firm down the stretch.
Camryn Hummel got the start in the circle, allowing just two hits while keeping Fort Cherry scoreless. Sophia Wasko earned the win in relief as the Chargers closed out the game.
OLSH returns home Thursday to face Burgettstown.
