The OLSH Chargers defeated Seton LaSalle Rebels 11-4 on Wednesday, with Mya Eshenbaugh leading the charge, driving in four runs on two hits. Mya's standout performance included a two-run single in the sixth inning and a solo home run to center field in the fourth.
The Chargers struck first in the opening frame when Mya Eshenbaugh hit into a double play, allowing a run to score. The Rebels quickly answered, tying the game at 1-1 in the bottom of the first and taking the lead 3-1 in the second.
However, the Chargers responded in the fourth. Mya's solo homer pulled the team to within one run, and Camryn Hummel followed with a two-run single to give the Chargers a 4-3 lead. The team never looked back, tacking on additional runs to seal the victory.
Camryn Hummel also had a solid outing in the circle, pitching all seven innings and allowing seven hits and four runs. She struck out two and walked two. The Chargers' offense was relentless, totaling 16 hits for the game. Leann Walzer and Olivia DiGiacomo each recorded three hits, while Camryn Hummel, Kaylee Seskey, and Ava Ciummo also contributed multiple hits.
The Chargers will look to keep their momentum going as they host Carlynton tomorrow night.
