OLSH opened the preseason with an impressive showing Saturday afternoon, defeating Madonna Catholic 15–3 in a scrimmage powered by a strong offense performance.
The Chargers wasted no time getting started. In the first inning, Sophia Wasko delivered a clutch single to drive in the game's first run and give OLSH the early edge. The momentum carried into the second inning when the Chargers added two more runs. Sydney Trippe highlighted the frame with a sharp double to center field, stretching the lead to 3–0.
OLSH blew the game open in the third inning with a seven-run surge. The Chargers capitalized on timely hitting and pressure on the bases, taking advantage of two two-run errors while adding an RBI triple from Claire Bulls, an RBI ground out from Naveah Morin, and another RBI single from Sophia Wasko.
At the plate, Sydney Trippe and Sophia Wasko led the offensive charge with a dominant 4-for-5 and 3-5 performance respectiviely. Mya Eshenbaugh and senior leader Leann Walzer also contributed multiple hits, helping the Chargers pile up 16 total hits in the game.
In the circle, Camryn Hummel delivered a standout start for OLSH. The pitcher worked four solid innings, allowing just one hit and one unearned run while striking out seven and walking three. Sophia Wasko came on in relief to close out the game and secure the Chargers' convincing victory.
With veteran leadership from seniors Julia Pintar and Leann Walzer and a lineup already showing depth and power, the Chargers' early performance signals a promising season ahead.
