The Chargers powered past Carlynton with a 14-4 win, using a big opening inning and steady production at the plate to take control early.
The Chargers erupted in the top of the first, putting up seven runs on a flurry of extra-base hits and timely at-bats. Syndey Trippe started the surge with a double that drove in a run, followed by Mya' Eshenbaugh's two-run home run to right field. Camryn Hummel added an RBI double, Claire Bulls drew a walk scoring another run, and two more runs crossed the plate on a Carlynton error.
OLSH stayed aggressive in the second inning, adding two more runs behind RBI singles from Julia Pinter and Camryn Hummel to extend the lead.
In the third, the Chargers continued to build their advantage. Sophia Wasko sparked the inning with a triple, Julia Pinter followed with an RBI single, and Nevaeh Morin brought in another run with a ground out.
At the plate, OLSH finished with 16 hits. Sophia Wasko and Julia Pinter led the way with three hits each, while Sydney Trippe and Leann Walzer also recorded multiple hits. Julia Pinter, Mya Eshenbaugh, and Camryn Hummel each drove in two runs. The Chargers also showed patience, drawing six walks, with Mya Eshenbaugh and Elizabeth Smith picking up two apiece.
In the circle, Camryn Hummel earned the win, going six innings while allowing seven hits and four runs while striking out six and walking three.
With the win, the Chargers head into their next stretch of games with momentum as they travel to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee for spring training camp.
