The girls softball team opened its spring trip in Pigeon Forge Tennessee with a 3-2 win over Kenston.
Kenston took an early 2-0 lead in the top of the third inning and held that advantage into the later innings. The Chargers broke through in the sixth when Sophia Wasko hit a solo inside-the-park home run to make it a one-run game (2-1).
In the bottom of the seventh, the Chargers completed the comeback. Nevaeh Morin tripled down the right field line to tie the game, and Elizabeth Smith followed with a single up the middle to drive in the winning run.
Camryn Hummel earned the win in the circle, allowing two runs on nine hits over seven innings..
