On Friday, September 6, the Cross Country Team competed in the Red, White & Blue Classic Invitational at White Oak Park. Stepping up to the AA division, both the girls' and boys' teams delivered strong performances against a highly competitive field.
Freshman Jules Goshen led the way for the girls' team with an outstanding 8th place finish, clocking in at 19:40. Junior Hannah Hayes ran her best race of the season, placing 27th with a time of 20:44. Not far behind, sophomore Eva Crofford crossed the line in 29th with a time of 20:53. Senior Charlotte Gauntner added to the team's scoring with a 54th-place finish at 21:52, and sophomore Mira Mosca rounded out the top five with a 22:18.
Thanks to these strong performances, the girls' team earned an impressive 4th place overall in the team standings.
On the boys' side, senior Brayden Douglass led the charge, finishing 33rd overall with a time of 17:18. Sophomore Andre Kolocouris recorded his best time of the season at 17.54 and placing 51st. Senior Wesley Goshen followed closely with a time of 18:17, securing 68th place. Sophomore Jeremy Ye finished 72nd with a time of 18:24, and fellow sophomore Leo Mosca completed the team's scoring with a solid 19:06 performance.
The boys' team placed 12th overall, showing promise as the season progresses.
